Party supply trailer stolen

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) -- The owners of a party equipment company are hoping surveillance video can provide a key clue about the whereabouts of their supply trailer, which was allegedly stolen from a storage facility.

Surveillance video shows a Chevrolet Avalanche pulling up next to the trailer at the storage facility located off State Road 7, just south of Griffin Road. The driver stepped out of the vehicle and scoped out his surroundings. He busted the lock on the trailer, navigated the truck so it was lined up with the trailer and attached it to his vehicle. After a couple of attempts, he was then able to drive away with the trailer in tow.

Business owner Breanna Laracuente said the contents of the trailer that went missing Wednesday morning are vital to their family business. "I'm trying to figure out now how to get to my events tomorrow and Sunday," she said. "I don't know how I'm going to be able to do it yet. I haven't been able to sit down and actually even begin to think about it. It's totally a nightmare for me."

Laracuente rents out party supplies like inflatables, including bounce houses, and since she won't be able to fulfill their scheduled engagements, she said that her business is currently on hold.
